On September 23, Nick Kristof and his wife and writing partner Sheryl WuDunn released their second book, A Path Appears. Their first book, Half the Sky, highlighted stories on the plights of women and girls around the world. It was a best–seller and life changer. Many times I have had someone tell me that reading Half The Sky opened their eyes and spawned their personal commitment to get involved.
A Path Appears is bound to engage our global community once again. Kristof and WuDunn give story-powered accounting on what they have witnessed—and researched has supported: change is happening. The book is an accounting of how individuals and organizations are making real, palpable changes within their communities, be it local or global. The book also serves as a guide on how each of us—no matter our age, income or standing in life—can become part of that change and contribute towards the world being a better place—for all.
